LG Viewty

The LG Viewty is amongst the first of a new breed, it is a touchscreen mobile.  This mobile looks stunning, you want to pick it up, touch the screen and try it out from the moment you see it and it also packs in a 5 mega-pixel camera into the bargain!

The Viewty’s touchscreen is very responsive, more so than most of the other phones to emerge so far.  The phone can also be set up to vibrate on touch giving you some feeback through your fingertips, making it more engaging to use.

The Viewty also has a nice web-browser that is primarily very easy to use, allowing zoom and un-zoom similar to the iPhone.  Using the web on the Viewty should be fast provided the access is good as the phone has HSDPA, the only downside of this is that there is no wifi provision.

The camera on the Viewty has been well implemented with clear sharp photos, aided by a decent flash rather than a LED light and also a nifty digital stabilisation feature.  The photos can then be viewed using a function that reminded me of Microsoft Surface with the photos scattered over the surface for you to drag and drop.

Taking video on the Viewty is also simple and gives good quality footage.  The Viewty also has a DivX feature which means you can watch DivX video files from the flash memory card.

All in all this is a great phone, good for photos and video, it looks fantastic, offers easy web-surfing and has a responsive touch-screen interface.  If you get this phone you will not be disappointed.
